BlackRock BUIDL as trading collateral on Crypto.com and DeribitUpdated 18 Oct 2026
Since June 2025 institutional and experienced clients of Crypto.com and Deribit can post BlackRock's tokenised BUIDL fund as trading collateral. Deribit accepts it for futures and options margin. Crypto.com accepts it for spot, leveraged, derivatives and OTC trading in selected jurisdictions. The fund's low volatility and yield are meant to lower margin costs. Both venues cut BUIDL's collateral haircut in early 2026 (Deribit from 10% to 2%, Crypto.com from 2% to 1%), confirming the service is still offered.
Live (limited) since 18 Jun 2025[1] — Limited to eligible clients; no pledged amounts disclosed. Both venues still list BUIDL as collateral in 2026 (haircut cuts in January and March 2026). · Reviewed 21d ago
