What's actually live, and how we know
A sourced register of tokenised assets, deposit tokens and on-ledger settlement at banks, asset managers and market infrastructures. Every status, participant and figure is tied to a dated, graded source.
How to read this map
Circles are networks, the ledgers things run on (filled = public, outlined = private). Diamonds are deployments: a live product or service such as BlackRock's BUIDL fund or DTCC's tokenisation service, coloured by status. Squares are the organisations involved. Explore: click any node to focus on its neighbourhood (grouped networks expand), Esc to clear. Scroll to zoom, drag to pan; in Force layout, drag nodes to pin them. Toggle statuses and asset classes to thin the picture; the layout re-spaces to fit.

6 more markets, the chart, and what each covers
Download- US Treasury bills outstanding: Face value of all marketable US Treasury bills outstanding at month-end, held by the public and by government accounts. This is the underlying market that tokenised Treasury and money market funds mostly invest in, not a fund market itself; notes, bonds, TIPS and FRNs are excluded. Method
- US money market fund assets: Total assets of US-registered money market funds (government, prime and tax-exempt, retail and institutional) for the week ending on the stated Wednesday. ETFs and funds that mainly invest in other mutual funds are excluded, as are offshore and private liquidity funds. Method
- Worldwide money market fund assets: Net assets of regulated open-end money market funds in the 44 jurisdictions reporting to the IIFA worldwide statistics, at quarter-end. Funds of funds are excluded where possible; unregulated or private liquidity vehicles are not covered. Method
- Global private credit assets: IMF estimate of global corporate private credit: assets plus undeployed commitments of private credit funds, business development companies and private CLOs, mostly in North America and Europe. Direct lending by end investors outside these vehicles is not captured, so it understates the market. Method
- US marketable Treasury securities outstanding: All marketable US Treasury debt at month-end: bills, notes, bonds, TIPS, floating rate notes and Federal Financing Bank securities, including the small amount held by government accounts. Non-marketable debt such as savings bonds and intragovernmental trust fund holdings is excluded. Method
- Above-ground gold stock: Estimated value of all gold ever mined that still exists (about 222,600 tonnes), including jewellery, central bank reserves, bars, coins and ETF holdings. Covers gold only, not other commodities; most tokenised commodities are gold-backed. Method
- Global debt securities outstanding: Year-end amount of debt securities outstanding issued by governments, financial and non-financial corporations across the countries covered by BIS debt securities statistics, as compiled by SIFMA. Loans and other non-securities debt are excluded; it is not split by issuer type. Method
- Worldwide regulated open-end fund assets: Net assets of all regulated open-end funds (mutual funds, ETFs and institutional funds of every category, including money market funds) in the 44 reporting jurisdictions, at quarter-end. Funds of funds are excluded where possible; closed-end, private and other unregulated funds are not covered. Method
- US corporate bonds outstanding: Year-end amount of US corporate bonds outstanding as compiled by SIFMA. Treasuries, agency debt, municipal securities, mortgage- and asset-backed securities and commercial paper are reported separately and excluded. Method
- Global equity market capitalisation: Year-end market value of shares of domestic companies listed on WFE member and affiliate exchanges, main and SME markets. Investment funds, ETFs, rights, warrants, holding and investment companies and secondary foreign listings are excluded; unlisted equity is not covered. Method
- US commercial bank deposits: Deposits held at all commercial banks in the United States (domestically chartered banks and foreign-related institutions), seasonally adjusted monthly average. Deposits at credit unions, savings institutions outside the H.8 panel and banks' offshore offices are excluded. Method
- Global gold ETF assets: Assets under management of physically backed gold ETFs and similar products worldwide (more than 100 products tracked by the World Gold Council) at month-end, about 4,256 tonnes. Covers gold only; synthetic gold products and other commodities are excluded. Method
- Worldwide ETF assets: Net assets of exchange-traded funds that are regulated open-end funds in the jurisdictions reporting to the IIFA worldwide statistics, at quarter-end. ETNs, ETCs and other exchange-traded products that are not regulated open-end funds are not included. Method
For context, not compared: US spot bitcoin ETF assets $111.09bn (8 Oct 2026)
Value tracked
These totals are floors, and the real figures are likely much higher. Only 145 of 221 live deployments report a balance held on ledger, and 38 report how much they move. Many of the rest, especially bank and market-infrastructure services on private ledgers, publish no figures at all.
The figures lean heavily towards stablecoins. Balances on public blockchains can be read directly, so they are the easiest to count: 92% of the value held that we can place sits on public networks, and stablecoins make up 81% of it. Read the columns as what has been disclosed, not as the size of the market.
Three views: the size of each asset, what each platform holds, and how much each use case moves per month. Each covers only what has been published, so they won't agree with each other and aren't meant to be added. Headlines count each dollar once, and only where the ledger is the ownership record; balances on ledgers that mirror a record kept elsewhere, and a gross figure including wrapper tokens, are shown beside them. Every figure links through to its source.
By asset
+ $29.04bn recorded on ledger · gross $331.85bn with wrapped tokens
Known size of each instrument: tokens in circulation now, or the issue size of bonds not yet matured.
and 179 more
191 assets of 339 with a known size. 32 matured bonds left out. 71 deployments report one total across several tokens, so those can't be split by asset (they appear by platform). Other currencies converted at ECB and central-bank reference rates, 23 Oct 2026.
By platform
+ $29.75bn recorded on ledger · gross $338.35bn with wrapped tokens
What each platform holds on ledger now, with bonds and tokens issued to date alongside. The total is what's held now only.
and 104 more
116 platforms: 95 report a balance held now; issued-to-date and recorded-on-ledger figures (faint bars) aren't added. Other currencies converted at ECB and central-bank reference rates, 23 Oct 2026.
Throughput by use case
Latest reported activity per month (daily and annual figures converted), with totals transacted since launch alongside. The total is per month only.
12 use cases with a reported figure. Totals to date (faint bars) aren't added to monthly ones, and aren't the sum of past months: they come from different deployments. Other currencies converted at ECB and central-bank reference rates, 23 Oct 2026.
