Ant Group's technology arm records the operating and revenue data of Chinese clean-energy assets on its blockchain and tokenises them so their owners can raise money from investors outside the mainland. Longshine Technology tokenised more than 9,000 EV charging piles and raised about RMB 100 million in Hong Kong in August 2024, with support from the HKMA's Project Ensemble sandbox; GCL Energy Technology raised RMB 200 million in December 2024 against two solar plants (82 MW) and data from about 3,000 residential solar systems. Ant describes a "two chains and one bridge" design (an asset chain, a transaction chain and a cross-chain bridge).
