Maple syrup lending pools (syrupUSDC, syrupUSDT, syrupUSDG)New

Maple's syrup tokens let anyone outside the US lend stablecoins into Maple's institutional lending pools. A depositor puts USDC, USDT or Paxos's USDG into a pool on Ethereum and receives syrupUSDC, syrupUSDT or syrupUSDG, vault tokens whose value rises as borrowers pay interest. Maple Direct, Maple's lending arm, makes fixed-rate loans from the pools to crypto-native institutions that post liquid digital assets as collateral, worth more than the loan; some capital also goes into futures basis trades and DeFi liquidity. So this is private credit to real firms, but secured on crypto collateral rather than on real-world assets. Each token sits in its own segregated portfolio of Maple International Operations SPC and moves to other chains (Solana, Arbitrum, Base, Plasma and others) through Chainlink CCIP. On 27 October 2026 Maple's transparency page showed deposits of about $972m in syrupUSDC, $322m in syrupUSDT and $341m in syrupUSDG, with each pool's allocation across loans, Treasuries, DeFi positions and idle cash; the pools' own on-chain asset totals match these deposit figures. The deposits are counted, less each pool's idle stablecoin cash (counted where those stablecoins are issued). The page's larger assets-under-management figures are shown as context.

Metrics

  • ~$972.27msyrupUSDC deposits · as of 27 Oct 2026 · on Ethereumcontext[1][2]
Deposits on Maple's transparency page, the figure its allocation adds up to. The Ethereum pool's totalAssets() read about $968.2m on 28 Oct 2026, so deposits, not AUM, match the tokens outstanding (copies on other chains are bridged from Ethereum through CCIP). Idle USDC cash (1.4%) is netted through the asset's countedShare (editor decision 2026-10-27-reserves-2-4). Gross supply, shown not counted: 98.6% of it is counted (the rest of the reserve is held in tokens counted elsewhere; breakdown as of 2026-10-27).
