Public layer 1 blockchain built around the Move smart-contract language. Many validator nodes take turns proposing blocks, which commit once more than two-thirds of them agree; execution runs speculatively and in a pipeline so stages proceed in parallel. Mainnet launched in October 2022; developed by Aptos Labs and supported by the Aptos Foundation.
