EVM chain that began in October 2018 as the xDai payments sidechain, renamed Gnosis Chain after the STAKE/GNO merger vote in December 2021; since its December 2022 merge it runs proof-of-stake consensus on the Gnosis Beacon Chain, with xDai as the fee token and GNO for staking.
