Citi Token Services for CashUpdated 28 Oct 2026
Citi turns client deposits into tokens on its own permissioned blockchain so corporate and institutional clients can move money between Citi locations at any hour, outside bank cut-off times and holidays. Used for cross-border payments and liquidity management; Citi told investors in May 2026 that hundreds of clients were moving close to $1bn a day. Siam Commercial Bank became the first bank client through Citi's 24/7 USD Clearing link in July 2026, and the service was live in seven markets by September 2026.
