Santander end-to-end blockchain bond on Ethereum
A USD 20 million one-year bond that Banco Santander issued on public Ethereum in September 2019 and bought itself through a group unit. The cash leg and quarterly coupons were also tokenised so the purchase settled delivery-versus-payment on-chain. Santander redeemed it early in December 2019, showing a full bond lifecycle on a public chain.
