TrueUSD (TUSD) dollar stablecoinNew
A fiat-collateralised US dollar stablecoin, in circulation since 2018 and owned since December 2020 by Techteryx, a British Virgin Islands company that bought the business from TrueCoin. Verified customers mint and redeem by bank wire, and the issuer publishes daily reserve attestations. About $456 million of reserves that its trustees placed in 2021-22 went to a Dubai trading company instead of the intended fund; Techteryx is suing in Hong Kong and won a worldwide freezing order in Dubai's DIFC courts in February 2025. About $484 million was in circulation in October 2026, mostly on Ethereum and TRON.
