ISO 20022: Universal financial industry message scheme
An open global standard for financial messages that carries rich, structured data for payments, securities and other financial transactions. Payment systems and Swift's cross-border traffic are moving to it, and some tokenisation pilots use ISO 20022 messages to trigger on-chain actions so banks can keep their existing systems.
