ANZ A$DC Australian dollar stablecoinNew

A$DC is an Australian dollar stablecoin issued by ANZ, the first issued by an Australian bank on a public permissionless blockchain. In March 2022 ANZ minted A$30 million of A$DC with its own EVM-compatible smart contract deployed through Fireblocks, delivered it to Victor Smorgon Group via digital asset firm Zerocap, and later redeemed it into fiat. In June 2022 Victor Smorgon Group used A$DC to buy tokenised Australian carbon credits (BetaCarbon's BCAU) from Zerocap; ANZ said A$DC is fully collateralised and redeemable at par from an ANZ-managed reserve account. In June 2025 ANZ said it would test A$DC in cross-border trials alongside tokenised deposits and Hong Kong's e-HKD. No circulating supply or later production use has been published.
