Circle EURC euro stablecoinUpdated 8 Nov 2026
Circle's euro stablecoin, launched on Ethereum in mid-2022 as Euro Coin (EUROC) and later renamed EURC. Since July 2024 it has been issued in the EEA as a MiCA e-money token by Circle's French e-money institution, with euro reserves held at regulated EEA institutions. Roughly 430-440 million euros were outstanding in October 2026, making it the largest euro stablecoin; most of it is on Ethereum, with smaller amounts on Solana, Base and several other chains.
