Cross-chain messaging protocol with endpoints on well over a hundred chains. Each application chooses the decentralised verifier networks (DVNs) that must attest its messages. Issuers use its Omnichain Fungible Token (OFT) standard to burn on one chain and mint on another, or an OFT adapter that locks the original token (as USDT0 and PYUSD0 do). Networks below are active mainnet chains in LayerZero's deployment metadata that are in the register; Canton is among them.
